HERMON, MAINE - Cecile C. Harmon, 97, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 27th, 2024 at her home. She was born August 3, 1926, the daughter of Dennis and Regina Cyr of Caribou, Maine.
Cecile married Byron Harmon on August 16, 1944. She and her husband owned and operated a Plumbing and Heating business in Caribou, Maine for many years. She was an avid baker and many recipes have been passed down through the years. She was especially known for her homemade bread, cookies, and most of all, her famous apple pie. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and her family was her priority only after her love for Jesus. She was loved by everyone who met her and was always ready to cook or bake for someone in need, and probably one of the only people that loved to iron clothes.
Cecile is survived by her daughters, Kay Martin and husband, Mike, of Hermon, Maine, Denise Hacker-Stiewig and husband, Jeff, of San Antonio, Texas; daughters-in-law, Claudette Harmon, of Webster, Massachusetts and Colleen Harmon, of Caribou, Maine; grandchildren, Christopher and Tracey Harmon, of Connecticut, Shawn and Missy Harmon, of Putnam, Connecticut, Stacie and Jeremy Auvil, of Middletown Ohio, Barry and Wendy Martin of Orrington, Maine, Tammy and Jason Tozer of Hermon, Maine, Aaron and Rebecca Martin, of Ellsworth, Maine; Billy and Priscilla Hacker, of LaVernia, Texas, Brady and Vanessa Hacker, of San Antonio, Texas, Scott Harmon of Caribou, Maine, Sherrie Harmon, of Jackman, Maine, and David Harmon; 24 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Byron; siblings; her children, Michael, Arthur, and Tom; son-in-law, David; granddaughter, Kelly; great-grandson, Trevor and great- granddaughter, Haley.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Maine Coast Baptist Church, 867 Bangor Road, Ellsworth, Maine, with Pastor Aaron Martin officiating. All are welcome to share conversation and refreshments in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. Interment will be in Northern Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 37 Lombard Rd.
