GLENBURN - Celia M. Goodell, 87, passed away peacefully January 6, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born November 26, 1928 in Levant the daughter of Frank L. and Alice M. (Stilphen) Quinn.
Celia was known as the red headed wonder who was always very honest, said what was on her mind, and enjoyed helping people. She enjoyed country music and was a great yodeler. Celia took much pride in her garden and enjoyed picking berries. To many she was known as the Strawberry Lady. In her early years she operated her own daycare with her husband and then worked at Emples and lastly at Phillips-Strickland House.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ouellette and husband Fred of Glenburn; a daughter-in-law, Donna Goodell of Glenburn; sisters, Sylvia M. Harper of Presque Isle, Sandra Noyes and companion Richard Coleman of Bangor; brothers, Allen Quinn and wife Rosalie of Glenburn, Leonard Quinn of CT, Lester Quinn of NH, Ronald Quinn and wife Carol of Shirley; two grandchildren, Steve, and Sarah and her husband, Aaron; three great-grandchildren, Allysa, Ari and Ava; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Harry R. Goodell in 1986, a son Douglas Goodell in 2001, and siblings, Mabel, Rose, Bernard, Ann, and Dana.
