HAMPDEN - Charles L. Lamperta Jr. passed away sometime over the weekend of May 5th, 2018 at his residence at 640 Main Street North Hampton, Maine. Charles was born April 20, 1949 to Shirley (Weed) and Charles Lamperta.
Charles struggled with alcoholism much of his life. At one time he fought the struggle by attending Well Springs in Bangor and followed that up with getting education to assist in a rehab setting with Manna; where he met many good folks that brought smiles to his face and heart. Charles had previously worked as a cabinet maker, a bus driver for Waldo County schools and later worked for Hollywood Casino. Charles loved hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, boating, sharing memories of Candlewood Lake in CT and camp Misbehave, as well as spending all the time he could with his only Grandchild.
Charles was predeceased by his parents and brother Kevin. Charles is survived by his only child; Charles Lamperta III of Skowhegan, his granddaughter; and apple of his eye; Kayden Lamperta and her mother Ruth Mattson of Clinton, his brothers Gary and his wife Pat of Jackson, and Jimmy Lamperta along with last love Ranelle Smith of Bangor and his ex-wives Jeanette and Beverlee.
Thank you to all who walked a moment of his journey with him; without judgement, you made a difference. Please in his honor listen to the song “The Old Man Is Dead” by Del Way, he connected with this song.
