BREWER - Charles “Dennis” Newton, 71, left us too soon on January 1, 2022 at a Bangor Hospital. He was born May 24, 1949, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of Charles R. and Ida Jean (Guy) Newton.
Dennis graduated from Bell High School in Bell, California, Class of 1967. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. After the war, he joined the Sheet Metal Union where he worked as a supervisor at an air conditioning company. He married the love of his life, Linda V. Lopez, in 1987. Upon retiring in 2002 they moved to Maine where they settled in Brewer. Dennis was a long time Deacon, evangelical counselor, and active in his Brewer Home Ministry. He loved to work on his home, yard, and have fellowship with his many friends and family. Dennis enjoyed bow hunting, playing darts, billards, puzzles, playing with his best buddy, Riley (dog), and watching his endless movie collection with Linda.
