Charles L. Watters, 66, passed away at his home in Eddington, May 17, 2016. He was born in Bangor, April 1, 1950, the son of Leslie H. and Clara (Lynch) Watters.
Charlie graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1968 and upon graduation, enlisted with the Maine Air National Guard, where he stayed until his retirement. Charlie was a longtime member of the Eagle’s Club, F.O.E. #3177. He had a passion for cars- especially antique cars, and playing cribbage.
Charlie is survived by his daughters, Wendy Emerson and her husband, Chris, and Jennifer Watters; grandchildren, Carter and Jack Emerson; sister, Lillian Danielson; brothers, Harold Watters and Bruce Watters; a special brother-in-law, Gary Hollis; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held, 1pm, Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Blackman Cemetery on the Bradley Road in Eddington. Those who wish to remember Charlie in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Maine Veteran’s Home, 44 Hogan Road, Bangor, ME 04401.
