Charlotte (Hewes) Spencer, 79, passed away peacefully, February 2, 2020 two days after her 61st wedding anniversary.
She was born in Bangor, November 13, 1940 the daughter of Raymond and Sylvia (Sprague) Hewes.
Charlotte‘s family was the center of her life, she loved her kitties and treated them as her children. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling. Charlotte loved to knit and crochet. She looked forward to spending time at camp with her family.
Surviving are her husband and soulmate, George N. Spencer of Bangor; four children, Evelyn (Spencer) Brainard of Fairfield, Jeanine Spencer and her longtime partner, Randy Perry of Eddington, Georgia (Spencer) Bates of Alton, George N. Spencer, Jr. and his wife, Melissa; five grandchildren, Brent and Barry Moody, Katherine Malicky and Connor and Tanner Spencer; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond “Bub” Hewes, Earl Hewes; sister, Madeline Gowen; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Wyatt Spencer.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 1pm to 3pm Sunday February 9, 2020 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor.
