Cheryl (Hanley) Hamilton74, passed away unexpectedly January 20, 2020 at her home. She was born in Gardiner, August 2, 1945 the seventh child born to Edward E. and Florence (Higgins) Hanley.
She was a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Portland and Camillus School of Practical Nursing in PA.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert “Tony” Hanley and Terence Hanley; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Lechette and Kimball Fraser.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Lawrence A. and three children, Terence Hamilton and his wife, Jessica and their son, Beal, Adam Hamilton and his son, Karson and Jennifer Reposa and her husband Scott and their son Brandon; siblings, Edward Hanley a nd his wife, Adrienne, Barbara Lechette, James “Jay” Hanley and his partner, Steven, Stephen Hanley and his wife, Sheila, Alicia Fraser, John Hanley and his wife, Linda and Jeffery Hanley and his wife, Sally; a brother-in-law, George Snead, numerous nieces and nephews.
Cheryl’s three grandsons were the love of her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 4 pm to 6 pm Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave. Hampden. A Funeral Mass will be held 1 pm. Tuesday January 28, 2020 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Matthews Catholic Church, Western Ave., Hampden. The Rite of Committal will be held in the spring at Knowlton Cemetery, Newburgh.
Those wishing to remember Cheryl in a special way, may contribute in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor.
