CHRISTOPHER WILLIAM NICHOLS
HUDSON – Christopher W. Nichols, 70, passed away peacefully, at home, January 10, 2020.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Barbara (Kelly) Nichols, and his brother, Tom all of Brewer.
Christopher died, as he wished, in the home on the lake he built for his wife and family.
“I guess if you’re reading this, it means my long fight to stay here with you all has ended. I graduated from Brewer High School and the University of Maine and served proudly in the Air National Guard. I met my wife, Peggy at her family business and my career was at Old Town Fuel and Building Supply Co. I coached ice hockey in Old Town for many years which I loved. I’ve had a great life. After I bought my own airplane, I even took my favorite ‘mother-in-law’ for a few rides. I’ve spent my winters golfing in Florida and my summers at Hermon Meadows. With sadness, I am saying goodbye to my wife, Peggy, my two sons, Derek and his wife, Jess, Scott, and his wife, Lanae, and to my three grandsons, which I adore, William, Christopher and Rodney, and to my brother, Bill. I always said I wanted to be a Dad, so that one day, I could be a Grampie.” – Christopher Nichols
At the family’s request, there will be a celebration of life in the spring.
