Rockland - Christy S. Alex died peacefully at his home in Rockland on April 25, 2022. Christy was born on August 26, 1932 in Rockland, the son of Stephen and Constantina Alex.
An incredible athlete all his life, Christy excelled in all sports. During his tenure at Rockland High School, he played alongside his brothers George and Peter. After graduating high school, Christy enlisted in the Marine Corps. Following his service, he met and married Joan Mathews, and made a great life with her.
Christy is survived by his sons, Robert and his partner, Elizabeth, Mark and his wife, Rosemary; grandsons, Ross, and Ryan and his wife, Katrina; brothers, Peter, and George and his wife, Gwen. Christy’s beloved wife Joan predeceased him on January 19, 2020.
A private graveside service will be held for the family.
