BANGOR - Clarence L. Veilleux, 92, passed away November 19, 2013, after a long illness, at a local nursing home. He was born December 15, 1920, in Winslow, the son of Leo and Lydia (Belanger) Veilleux.
Clarence serviced in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for many years at Sears and Roebuck in Bangor. Clarence was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. The family especially wants to thank the staff at the Maine Veteran’s Home for the loving care and support provided to Clarence.
Clarence is survived by three daughters, Linda Blanchard of Glenburn, Louise Vose of NH, and Ellen Veilleux of Eddington; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Clarence is predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Robina (Norwood) Veilleux, and one son, Chester Veilleux.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2013, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
