Clayton “Skip” Commeau, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2021 at home with his wife June, son David and wife Lois by his side.
Skip was born in Orono, September 6, 1935 the son of John and Florence Commeau.
Skip attended Bangor and Old Town school systems. He joined the Navy in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1956. He was a Gunners mate third class on the USS Jeffers (CDD6211).
Skip was in the floor covering business for 40 years as a salesman and installer. After his retirement he enjoyed his passion for golf working at several golf courses.
Skip struggled a good part of his life with alcohol addiction but in 2000, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Cross Point Church. Skip attended bible study was a greeter and a member of Silver Saints.
Surviving are his loving wife, June Lessard Commeau, son David and wife Lois Commeau ; two granddaughters, Erica and Angela, and fiancé Ricky Deluge; great grandson Dresden, several nieces, nephews and special aunt Vangie.
At Skip’s request, burial will be private at a later date.
