Cornelius “Neil” Noddin, Jr. 85, passed away August 31, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Kenduskeag, September 5, 1936 the son of Cornelius A. Noddin, Sr. and Edna M. (Hawes) Noddin.
Neil was employed with the Bangor Daily News for 44 years. He began his career working in the mail room where he became foreman. He moved on to production manager then retired as the manager of circulation.
Neil was an avid golfer and bowler. He loved to fish and enjoyed gardening. He was a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Paula (Blake) Noddin of Bangor; five children, Craig Noddin and his wife, Thoma, Cathy Edwards and her husband Charles all of Bangor, Carol Bailey and her husband, Bill of Scarborough, Curt Noddin and his wife, Janice of Bangor, Christy West and her husband Scott of San Juan Bautista, CA; grandchildren, Benjamin Edwards of Bangor, Catherine Bailey Cote of Scarborough, Craig Noddin, Jr., Alec Noddin and Jade Noddin all of Bangor, Samuel West of San Juan Bautista, CA. , Connor Noddin of Bangor, Sean Bailey of Scarborough and Sophia West of San Juan Bautista, CA.; three sisters, Colleen Stafford of Cape Canavral, FL., Cleo Belangia of Greenville, NC., and Claire Powell of Two Rivers, WI.
He was predeceased by a brother, Conrad Noddin.
Private interment will be in Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
