BANGOR – Cristofer Earl Lane, 37, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on September 5, 2023. He was born December 15, 1985, in Hartford Connecticut, the son of Terry Lane and Antoinette Perreault.
Cris should be remembered as the kind, loving, giving person he was. He loved to draw, played bass guitar, do impersonations (especially, Julia Child), manage Thanksgiving like a BOSS!!! He loved to B-B-Q and go camping. He tried to grow Lupins in front of his house with no success, he never gave up and kept planting them anyways.
When he was a very small child he went with his grandfather or “Papa” as he was affectionately known, and they stopped at Burger King for a coffee. Art asked Cris if he wanted anything and he said “no”. So, Art got his coffee and as they were leaving Cris said: “where’s my borga?” Papa had to turn around and go get him a burger. When he was a teen, we would play Monopoly and when he was losing, he would say: “might as well live in a cardboard box” that was pretty much the end of the game because we could not stop laughing.
As a stepfather he did the best he could when he was able to. He was there for the children and his wife. They took many trips and made many wonderful memories together. Cris traveled all lower 48 states with his dad who was a long-haul trucker, shot his first moose at age 12 hunting with his mom and spent weeks fishing tuna in the Atlantic Ocean.
Cris is survived by his wife, Heather Lane and her children, Riley, Jacob and Bradley; his mother, Antoinette or, “Toni”; brother, Joshua Young; sisters, Rhonda Smith and her husband, Richard, Angela Ruszala, Kathleen Blais, Teri Taylor and her husband, Kirk; grandmother, Marcia Baker; uncle, Tellis Baker; special cousins, Abbey and Tessa Baker, who fondly called him Uncle Cris. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Lane and grandfather, Arthur Baker.
Cris will be so missed, however, we all know he is no longer suffering and is with Jesus, his dad, grandfather and all that went on before him.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September, 23, at Sherman Mills Cemetery, Golden Ridge Road, Sherman Mills, Maine. In lieu of flowers please send donations to: Hope House, 179 Corporate Dr. Bangor, ME 04401.
