CRYSTAL NICOLE LAPLANTE, BANGOR
Crystal LaPlante died unexpectedly on March 29, 2022 at home with her fiancé. She was born Sept. 28, 1983 in Bangor the daughter of Ronald and Karen (Holyoke) LaPlante. Crystal spent 18 years courageously and gracefully confronting Type 1 Diabetes and it's complications.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with high honors from Univ. of Maine in 2006. She dedicated her life to Elementary Education; her student's lives were enriched as was her's throughout Bangor and rural areas. We will remember her infectious smile, her energy and advocacy and dedication to her vocation. Her love of children was unparalleled, focusing on early childhood development.
She and her loving partner, Tony, hiked and walked many trails--including the City Forest. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her knew how much she loved making new friends. She could always put a smile on everyone's face. Truly an impossible loss.
Crystal touched so many lives in such a positive way; she inspired continuous education in all aspects of life! She volunteered with JA economic education and held nanny positions with Drs. and Mrs. Messina and Dippiero.
Surviving are Tony Mosca - fiancé, brother - Craig, her grandfather- Wayne Holyoke, her parents and many family members.
Calling hours will be 4-6pm on Friday, April 8th with a celebration of her life at 6 pm at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor.
Interment will be at a later date in Corinthian Cemetery in Corinth.
