DALE ALLEN MAYO

Dale A. Mayo, 59, passed away peacefully at home October 24th, 2022. He was born November 27th, 1962, in Milo, the son of Neil A. and Jean M. (White) Mayo.
Dale was a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono where he earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering. He went on to work for the State of Maine’s Department of Transportation for 39 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working with wood and doing carpentry, a skill he learned in his youth with his father. Dale also enjoyed building model trains and planes. He was a big fan of music and liked watching football. He also enjoyed being a father, and taking his kids camping and kayaking over the years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Mayo; his children; Erin Mayo, Kyla Stuart, Kennedy Mayo, Shane Mayo, Michael Mayo, and Shannon Turgeon; his sister, Pamela Watson; his niece and nephew; Rebecca Taylor and Matthew Watson; four grandchildren; Elijah Mabe, Raylin Mayo, Arik Stuart, and Natalie Stuart. In addition to being predeceased by his parents, he is also predeceased by Carol LaBree-Mayo.
Relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments 12 – 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5th, 2022, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street in Bangor.
