Dana Jewell

April 14, 1939 — April 7, 2015

Hermon and Monticello – Dana Robert Jewell, 75, passed away after a long illness April 7, 2015 at a Bangor hospital surrounded by his family. He was born April 14, 1939, in Monticello, the son of Paul and Pauline (Parent) Jewell.

Dana graduated from Ricker Classical Institute, then later served in the United States Army. He was married to Dolores (Harper) for 39 years, and later was married to Wanda (Grass-Folsom) for 12 years. Dana enjoyed years of camping, going to hunting camp with his sons, grandsons, and close friends, as well as gardening and puttering in the garage. He retired from Bangor & Aroostook Railroad after 30 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Dolores. He is survived by his loving wife Wanda; children Keith Jewell and wife Pam, Kristine Selleck and husband John, Gaynor Ryan and husband Kevin, Gail Daries and husband Brian, Chad Jewell and wife Allison; bonus children Annette Lawrence and husband M. Dean, Arden Folsom and wife Connie, Andrea Shorey and husband Jake; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and very special friends Ricky and Diana O’Neal. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful nurses at EMMC ICU.

A memorial service will be held 11AM Saturday, April 11 at the Hermon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Garnett Chute officiating. Following the service relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the church. Interment with military honors will be held in the spring at the Snow’s Corner Cemetery, Hermon.
