EDDINGTON - Dana E. Kearns, 64, passed peacefully March 27, 2019, at a Brewer healthcare facility. He was born August 23, 1954, in Bangor, the son of Francis E. and Geraldine A. (Bartlett) Kearns.
Faith was very important to Dana. He was involved with local area Baptist churches, most recently the Clifton United Baptist Church. Dana also was passionate about sports, both local and national. He volunteered regularly as a referee for Holden and Eddington schools. Dana worked multiple years for Peavey Manufacturing Company in Eddington.
In addition to his parents, Dana was predeceased by his oldest son, Eric. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan; a daughter, Kelly; a son, Brian; a brother, William and wife, Carol; a nephew, Jonathan; a step-father, Mohamed; and cousins.
Memorial prayers will be said 2pm, Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the Clifton United Baptist Church, 742 Airline Road, Clifton, with Pastor John Walsh, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the church hall immediately following the service until 4:30 p.m., Saturday.
