DANIEL JOHN DULEY,
CARMEL.
Daniel John Duley, 66, died February 17, 2024, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Dan was born October 27, 1957, in Calais, the son of Richard and Barbara Duley.
Having grown up in Holden, Dan spent a lot of time with friends riding snowmobiles, skating on the pond out back, fixing cars, and raising cain with his best friend, David Spratt. Dan attended Brewer High School. After high school, Dan worked at Manhattan Trophy and then Atlantic Awards. Dan married the love of his life, Heather Fernley, in 1989. Dan was a beloved archery instructor at Crossroads Christian Camp in Bradley for several years. An avid lover of the outdoors, Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, kayaking, four-wheeling, and camping. Dan loved to cook even though it always took a little while. He was always so proud that he mastered his Mom’s baked beans recipe.
Surviving in addition to Dan’s wife, Heather, are his stepdaughter and husband, Tracy and Steven Parker and their children, Natasha Spofford and family, and Jessi and John Wargo; sister, Deborah Duley; brother, Richard Duley; sister, Rebecca Trask; and sister and brother-in-law, Jo-Lyn & William Curran; and several beloved nieces and nephews, Temi, Kit, Danasa, Carrie, Katie, Heather, Sarah, Jedd & Chelsea; and special cousin, Cathy Jameson. Dan was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Barbara Duley, and brother-in-law, Gerald Trask.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at The River Church, 146 Center Street, Bangor, with the Pastor Mark Soone, officiating. The Family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments following the service at the Church. Interment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport, in the Spring.
