Daniel “Tim” Timothy O’Connell
Bangor
Daniel "Tim" Timothy O'Connell left this world on January 17, 2021. "Uncle Tim" was beloved by his family, and his many friends.
He was a lifelong Bangor resident, and avid fan of the Rams. He lived life to the fullest, and was loyal to a fault. He was especially proud of his prowess as a Special Olympian, he was very passionate about his Red Sox, and his baseball cards, but loved all sports. Tim loved to go to games, he enjoyed his group field trips, and really liked to joke around with anyone who would listen. He was generous, he was stubborn, and he was tough.
He loved his family and was very proud of all of them.
Tim was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Eleanor (Murphy) O’Connell, and his aunt Deanie (Murphy) Mooers and her husband Don.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Barbara O’Connell, and his sister Debbie O’Connell. He truly loved his many nieces and nephews, Darrian (O’Connell) Day, and husband Scott, Dan and wife Jessica, Matt and wife Sarah, Sara and fiancé Matt Gray, Briana, Matty, Lucy, Annie, Rogan, and Ella. He also adored his O’Connell, Jordan, and Mooers cousins.
Tim, despite his “occasional” grumpiness, was always thankful for all the care he received at MCIR, Brewer Rehab, East Side Rehab, and others. His family would like to especially thank the staff at St. Joesph's Hospital for their compassionate care.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11 am. Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York St., Bangor followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio St. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor following the services.
Due to mass gathering limits, only 50 people will be admitted. Those wishing to view a live tribute of the service may do so by visiting www.stpaulbangor.me.
In lieu of flowers, please make an act of kindness or charity toward someone you normally might not. Deep down, Tim was a loving man, and the world could use more of that now. Tim would say “AYUH!” Thank you!
Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
