Hampden – Darrell William Tracy, 61, died unexpectedly September 3, 2015, at a Bangor hospital. He was born November 4, 1953, in Bangor, the son of Harold and Shirley (Campbell) Tracy.
Darrell graduated from Rantoul (IL) High School, and later graduated from EMVTI as a millwright. He worked briefly as a millwright; later he worked at Bath Iron Works for a period of time; and then settled in renovating homes as a finish carpenter. Darrell liked woodworking, but was passionate about mountain biking. He loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. He enjoyed helping and taking care of family. Darrell always put family above himself.
Darrell was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his mother Shirley Rinard and step father George Rinard; siblings Diane Rioux and husband Bob, Cindy Grover and husband Dennis, Cathy Carver and friend Colleen Carter; Aunts Carolyn and Bonnie; nieces Elissa and Felicia; nephew Aaron; longtime beloved friend Linda Tracy and her daughter Amber; friend Julie Clark, her son Terry and daughter Shelie.
A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor, 7 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5 PM until time of service Tuesday. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
