David J. Adams
Bangor-Davenport, FL. - David J. Adams, 29, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 9, 2014, following a six year battle with brain cancer. He was born November 4, 1984 in Bangor, son of Scott Adams and Nina Conners.

David was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 2003 and was working toward his degree in computer science through the University of Maine at the time of his death. David worked as a chef at Thistle's Restaurant, Bangor, for seven years until relocating to Florida where he worked as a chef at the Ritz-Carlton in South Beach Miami, Florida. He met the love of his life, Angela "Marcela" Ruge, in Bogota, Colombia, in 2007 and they were married in 2008, shortly after David's diagnosis. David's unwavering faith and positive attitude touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him, teaching us by example to recognize each day as a gift, regardless of our circumstances.

The family would like to thank the staff at Stillwater Health Care for their kindness and compassion.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Marcela of Davenport, FL.; are his mother, Nina of Bangor; father, Scott of Bangor; sister, Catherine "Katie" Adams, niece, Emily Adams; nephew, Jaxon Dufour, all of Glenburn; maternal grandparents, Frank and Geneva Conners of Bangor; paternal grandmother, Nance Seile of New Bern, N.C.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
