David Mcmahan

Bangor – David McMahan was born in Bath, Maine on 10/01/52 and resided with OHI from 11/02/93 until the time of his death on 09/16/16. David was a quiet and gentle man who loved his family and support team members and he was very close to his friend Esther. Among others, he is survived by a sister-in-law Judy and a special niece, Janice, who visited him as often as she was able, bringing special treats for his sweet tooth - he loved chocolate! During his life, he was supported to work for Bangor Public Works where he enjoyed his job and was well-liked and appreciated by his coworkers. He also volunteered for the Salvation Army store. David had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to tease others by taking their drinks, to flirt with the girls and he had a smile that lit up the room when people he loved came to visit him. In his later years, he really liked going for rides to any place where he could people-watch and enjoy the outdoors. He was well loved and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

A celebration of David’s life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 238 State Street, Brewer. Following the service the committal will be held 3:30 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Finson Road, Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
