CARMEL & HERMON - David Michael Stover, 38, passed away unexpectedly April 26, 2019, at home, in Carmel, due to a medical condition. He was born September 21, 1980, in Bangor, the son of David H. and Suzanne L. (Buchanan) Stover.
David graduated from Hermon High School, Class of 1999. Following graduation, he attended the University of Maine, and Omega Tech in Brewer. David held various jobs in the technology industry, including Senior Systems Administrator for Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, Systems Administrator of Operations at Jackson Laboratory, and most recently, Systems Support Manager at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. He also enjoyed remodeling homes. David was an exceptional artist who enjoyed painting and carving wood and stone.
David was predeceased by his mother, Suzanne; his sister, Abby Stover; grandparents, David Sr. and Eleanor Stover; his papa, Carl “Bucky” Buchanan; and a special dog, Zoey. He is survived by his father, David Jr. and partner, Dianne St. Hilaire; a grandmother, Sonya Buchanan; and many extended family members.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Riverside Cemetery, Bennoch Road, Orono, with Dr. Steve Smith, pastor of the Orono, Alton, and Milbridge/Wyman United Methodist Churches, officiating.
