Dawn Palmer, 58, died unexpectedly July 24, 2020 at Thayer Hospital in Waterville, Maine.

Dawn was born on October 26, 1961 in Warwick, Rhode Island the daughter of Edward Leonard and Dolores (Salisbury) LeCour.

Dawn graduated from Chariho High School in Wood River, Rhode Island with the Class of 1979. Following graduation, she married her high school sweetheart Harold A. (Happy) Palmer on June 21, 1980. Shortly thereafter they had two sons, Corey and Adam Palmer and decided to move their new family and settle in Maine. They celebrated 40 years of marriage this year.

Dawn attended Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, Maine and spent the next 29 years as a Respiratory Therapist in local hospitals, 20 of which were at Inland Hospital in Waterville, Maine. She was passionate about her work and had a tremendous amount of love for her patients.

Dawn was also an active member in her Church, Albion Christian Church in Albion, Maine. She found comfort and lived in her faith and always made a priority of making time to help and volunteer with their various projects and programs.

Dawn was predeceased by her father, Edward L. LeCour. Surviving in addition to her loving husband, Harold "Happy" Palmer, are her sons, Corey Palmer and his partner Terri of Freedom, Maine, Adam Palmer and his partner Melissa of Akron, Ohio, grandchildren, Vincent Palmer and Isabella Sousa of Waterville, Maine, Gavin Palmer of Akron Ohio and Chace Doyon of Oakland Maine, her mother, Dolores LeCour of Hope Valley, Rhode Island, one sister, Tonya LeCour of Charlestown, Rhode Island, one brother, Edward LeCour of Bradford, Rhode Island, many VERY VERY special nieces, nephews, and her best friend Valerie McKenzie of Harmony, Maine.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Albion Christian Church, 51 Main St., Albion, Maine 04910 With Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. A Memorial Reception will be held at the home of Corey Palmer directly after the service,at 66 Deer Hill Rd, Freedom, Maine 04941. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the family care of Harold Palmer at 304 North Palermo Road, Freedom, Maine 04941. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
