BANGOR – Dennis L. Robinson, 66, died November 25, 2014, at Togus VA Hospital. He was born August 31, 1948, in Bangor, the son of Jobie and Arline (Murray) Robinson.
Dennis worked several years for Penobscot County Sheriff Department as a patrol deputy in Glenburn and Kenduskeag. He retired from Homeland Security at the Margaret Chase Smith Federal Building, Bangor, after more than 17 years. Dennis most recently worked at Hollywood Casino security department. He also served in the U.S. Navy, between 1966 and 1970. Dennis survived two battle of cancer in 2005, but lost his third battle this year. He will love his children forever.
Dennis is survived by a sister, Sheryl Albert, of Old Town; a son, Jeffrey Robinson and his wife, Jennifer of Bangor; a daughter, Terra Gosselin of Bangor; two granddaughters, Alexis Robinson and Caitlin Gosselin; and two special friends, Andrea and Jodi He was formerly married to Cathy Leen of Bangor and Deanna Leighton of Glenburn. Dennis was predeceased by his brother Larry Robinson.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2014, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, and relatives and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
