Dianna Heath

Dianna M. Heath went to be with with her Lord and personal savior September 24, 2023. She was born October 12, 1948, in Damariscotta, the daughter of Frank and Geneva (Sherman) Baird.

Dianna grew up in Woolwich, Wiscasset, Maine. She married William F. Burk Sr., of Jefferson, Maine. After celebrating 22 years of marriage, they remained friends afterwards. Together, they had five children, Rachel Skidgel, of Jefferson, Maine, Rebecca Dickinson, of Richmond, Maine, William F. Burk Jr., and his wife, Loretta, of Pittston, Maine, James Burk Sr., of Jefferson, Maine, and Kelly J. Scribner and her husband, Charles Scribner Jr., of Charleston, Maine. Dianna loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
Dianna babysat, taught Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School in Jefferson and worked on the family farm.

She later went on to get her high school diploma from Lincoln Academy High School and then became a Certified Nurses Aid where she worked at Glenridge and Graybirch Nursing Home. From there, she worked at Gardiner Skilled Nursing, and soon after that, she worked at Thyre Hospital in Waterville, Maine. Later on, she ran the Strawberry and Blueberry Roadside Stand, in Wiscasset, Maine, with her daughters, Rebecca and Kelly. She also sold Christmas trees and wreaths with Kelly in Bath, Winslow and Waterville, Maine. In the spring and summer months, she dug for bloodworms and clams. Dianna loved to cook, bake, crochet, sing, play Bingo, bowling, fishing, football and go out on outings with family and friends.

Surviving, are Dianna’s brothers and sisters, Kathy Beauchemin and her husband, Peter, of Berwick, Maine, Wendy Littlefield and her husband, Bill, of Sanford, Maine, Frank H. Baird Jr., of Augusta, Maine, Ronnie Baird and his wife, Susan, of Sanford, Maine, Basil Bowen and his wife, Lolly, of Woolrich, Maine; grandchildren, Darcey Paul, Sonya Elwell, Joel Grotton, James Williams, Seth Sutter, Dillion Burk, Kyle Burk, James Burk Jr., Jacob Burk, Julia Burk, Ashley Heath, and Michael Heath II; several great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service for Dianna will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the United Baptist Church of South Jefferson, 504 S. Clary Rd., Jefferson, ME. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the church’s fellowship hall immediately following the service.
