Amherst – Dianne (Light) Stevenson, 82, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2022. She was born in Bangor, July 11, 1939, the daughter of Kenneth W. and Irene E. (Jellison) Light.
Dianne graduated from Hermon High School in 1957 and went on to marry her sweetheart, Duane, on Valentine’s Day the following year. They shared 50 years together before Duane passed away in 2009. Dianne loved to craft, sew, cook and was an avid reader.
In addition to her husband, Dianne was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Kenny.
She is survived by her three children, Duane Stevenson of Amherst, his children; Aric Stevenson and his wife Sarah, of Hancock; Crystal Stevenson of New York, and Cole Stevenson of Gorham; Laurie Rice and her husband Craig, of Amherst, their children; Joel Rice and his fiancée Jennifer of Virginia, Craig Rice and his wife, Barbara of Etna; Gene Stevenson and his husband Roberto, of Bar Harbor; great grandchildren Cody, Carter, Cooper, Camden, Isabella, Emelia, and Ryder; best friends, Phyllis Jordon, Donna Bray, and Wallace Rice, as well as many other dear friends.
The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments from 6 to 8 pm on Friday April 15, 2022 at Brookings-Smith Family Reception Center, 163 Center St, Bangor, Interment will be private for the family in Amherst.
