Donald Francis Breen Sr., 91, passed away December 15, 2018, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 20, 1927, in Au Sable Forks, New York, the son of Peter F. and Mary A. (Payro) Breen.
Donald served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for B & A Railroad for over 30 years. Donald was a member of St. Paul the Apostle, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, for many years. His passions were fishing, hunting, playing cards, and being with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis (Gaudette) Breen; three sons, Donald Breen Jr. and wife Kelly of Theresa, NY, Dana Breen of Carmel, Derek Breen and wife Heather of Bangor; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Timothy, Matthew, Jon Christopher, Meaghan, and Jacob; and a great-grandchild, Parker. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Carolyn and Harriet.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio Street, Bangor. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. Following the Funeral Mass relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments in the parish hall of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
