Doris Malloch

March 5, 1918 — May 12, 2016

Doris M. (Greene) Malloch, 98, died, May 12, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was born March 5, 1918, in Lubec, the daughter of George and Lena (Earle) Greene.

Affectionately called, Mama, Grandmother, Grammy, “Toes”, and Aunt Dodo, Doris enjoyed fashion, and spent many years working in a boutique which was reflected in her daily classic appearance that was admired by many. Doris loved spending summers at her cottage on Indian Lake and wintering in Florida. She was also known for her baking, especially raspberry crumble and peanut butter fudge. Doris spent many years working for Booth Fisheries where she was one of the fastest sardine packers in Lubec. In her later years, Gram found great pleasure in spending time with family and got many hours of enjoyment watching her grandchildren and their friends.

In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Henry S. Malloch; daughter, Louise Antone; sister Leita Stoddard; two brothers, Frank Earle and Roland Greene.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Wayne Antone; grandchildren, Larry Antone and wife, Nena, Perry Antone and wife, Dawn, Ann-Marie Smith and husband, Alan, and Shelley Cormier and husband, Garth; nine great grandchildren, Derick and Angie Antone, Brent, Shelbey, and Cooper Antone, Shauna Rodriquez, Kurt Smith, and Bailey and Aiden Cormier; seven great great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Ted and Anne Greene; and many special nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Woodlands Senior Living and Beacon Hospice for their compassion and support.

A memorial reception will be held 5- 7:00 p.m., Tuesday May 17, 2016 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith 163 Center St., Bangor with words of remembrance being shared at 6:00 p.m. Those who wish to remember Doris in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Beacon Hospice 289 State St. # B, Bangor, Maine 04401.
