Doris “Dottie” Moore, 74, died December 2, 2015, after a brief illness. She was born in Dixmont, July 4, 1941, the daughter of Errol G. and Alfreda (Cummings) Moore.
Dottie was a very loving and caring lady. Her family was most important to her. The Red Sox and Patriots were a close second. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening or just puttering around. Dottie was always there to lend a helping hand and she would put others before herself.
She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Florence and a brother, Perley.
Surviving are a son, Tedd Moore and his wife, Laura of Hermon; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two brothers, Merle Moore of Hampden, Lloyd Moore of Dixmont; several nieces, nephews and cousins; a good friend, Richard Burr of Hampden; her beloved pets, Buddy and Moose.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Hampden-Gilpatrick, Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Av., Hampden, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2015. Interment will be in Simpson’s Corner Cemetery, Dixmont.
