GLENBURN, ME and MAULDIN, SC - Dot, 94, died at home in Mauldin, SC, on Nov. 20, 2017, in the presence of family. She was born Sept. 21, 1923, in Bangor, the daughter of Charles M. and Gladys E. (Rose) Blomberg.
Dorothy was a graduate of Bangor High School. She spent many years working at Hoods Ice Cream and then working for several years at BMHI, until retirement. She enjoyed planting flowers around her home on Pushaw Lake in Glenburn, ME, where she lived with her loving husband Herbert E. Follett, until his passing in 1992. She loved traveling, or even just going out for a long ride. She enjoyed playing games and was always high-spirited and ready for a laugh.
In addition to her parents and her husband, a brother, Charles Blomberg Jr., and a sister, Pearl Cunningham, predeceased her. She was also predeceased by both of her daughters Sandra Drake and Brenda Stitham.
Surviving her is a brother, Peter Blomberg and his wife, Erika, of AR; a son-in-law, Elden Stitham, of Glenburn; six grandchildren, Tammy Raymond and her husband, Larry, of Mauldin, SC, Theresa Allen and her husband, Ronald, of Glenburn, Peter Drake and his wife, Angela, of Orrington, Larry Drake of Bangor, Chuck Stitham and his wife, Kaila, of Glenburn, Thomas Stitham of Glenburn; many great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside committal services will be held 11 am. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the City Section of Mt. Hope Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at 10:45 am. at the Severance Rd. off Mt. Hope Ave.
