HERMON – Earle F. Burgess, 87, went to sleep peacefully in his home April 24, 2019. He was born May 4, 1931, in Bangor, the son of William and Alice (Ashford) Burgess.
Growing up in Hermon, he then met the love of his life, his wife and soul mate, Julia Burgess. They were married for 56 years before she passed in 2006. As the years unfolded so did their loving family. Three daughters, Carmelita Sanborn and her husband, Herbert, of Carmel, Earline Harris and her loving companion, Richard Levesque, of Bangor, and Karen Upton-Bean and her husband, Doug, of Hermon; and one son, John Reed and his wife, Laurel, of Hermon. Extending the love even more, his arms embraced grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Billy-Wayne Sanborn and his wife, Jen and children, Kaleb and Olivia, Earle Douglass Sanborn and his wife, Morgan and children, Hunter, Kylie and Drake, Mercedes Sonnie, Angela Emerson, and her husband Matthew, Taylor-Rose and Vanessa Bean, Adam Reed and his wife Victoria and daughters, Amber, and Lexi. Matthew Reed and his wife, Justee and children, Lilly and Austin, Corrie Reed and her husband, Troy Harriman, and their daughter Quinn, and special “granddaughter”, Marisa Kelley. Second only to hunting and fishing, electricity was Earle’s passion, working as a Master Electrician for over 30 years at IBEW Local #567. He was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No 3177. Retiring left time for Chemo Pond, West Grand Lake, camp at Shirley Mills, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
