EDITH MARIE (VARNEY) WALTON
BREWER – On December 4, 2019 “Edie” left us to join her Lord and predeceased parents, Bertha (Carr) and Walter Varney, brothers, Kenneth and Clayton, sisters, Vivian, Madeline and Shirley, son Bart, grandson, Travis and granddaughter, Brooke. She was born April 29, 1933, in Houlton.
Edith is survived by her husband of 65 years, Alan “Skip” Walton of Brewer. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her brother, Hillis Varney of Houlton; children, Mark and his wife, Roxanne of Warren; Jan and her husband, Brian Butterfield of Standish; Becki Walton and her husband, Rod Lahren of Fort Kent; Colleen and her husband, Jeffrey Tracy of Standish; Mary Stevens of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Mikala Walton, John McGlinn and his wife, Kiera, Chris McGlinn, Steve Beaulieu and wife, Melissa, Chris Beaulieu and wife, Amanda, Cole Tracy, Jack Tracy, Tiffany and husband, Cole Chandler, Jessica King, Bart Stevens, Jake Stevens, great grandchildren; Lillian Walton, Madison McGlinn, Mason McGlinn, Grace McGlinn, Noah Beaulieu, Nora “Edie” Beaulieu, Leo Beaulieu, Colby Chandler, Kelsey Chandler, Cameron King, Taylor King.
Edith was devoted to her faith in God, and will be remembered as a devoted and cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She was the best of us.
At her request, funeral services will be private.
