Edson George

Bangor and New York City - Edson Loyal George, Jr., born on April 20, 1943 to the late Helena and Edson L. George, Sr., passed away on January 10th, 2021 in New York City at the age of 77. Edson served his country in the Army and was an accountant for many years in Boston and New York. He was also a member of the Prince Hall Masons in Bangor and Boston. Survivors include his brother Everett and his wife, Zethna, of Belleview, FL; his sister Carol of Bangor, ME; his brother Roger and his wife, Shirley, also of Bangor, ME. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Edson was predeceased by his sister Virginia and his brothers Lloyd and Millard. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. August 14th, 2021, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Bangor, ME, where he will be laid to rest with his parents. The Masons of North Star Lodge will take part in the service.
