Edwin Reynolds

October 15, 1950 — September 9, 2015

Edwin “Eddie” Reynolds, 64, passed away September 9, 2015, as the result of a tragic accident. He was born in Machias, October 15, 1950, the son of Ray and Cora (Pettigrew) Reynolds.
Eddie attended Machias schools, and took a job as a meat-cutter after graduation. Eddie went on to work for Bangor Raceway, a job he loved, where he worked for almost 30 years, eventually being promoted to Track and Barn Supervisor.
Eddie loved to watch all sports, baseball, hockey, basketball, hockey and harness-racing, and could easily remember statistics and sports trivia, even dating back to his teenage years.
Eddie will be remembered as a most caring and giving man. He would do anything for anyone, and was especially dedicated to his mother, Cora, whom he took care of up until her passing. Eddie was always helping others and to the younger people he worked with, he quickly became a father-figure. He will be greatly missed by all who met him and worked with him, and especially by his family.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 13 years, Helen (McPeak) Reynolds; her children, Debbie Wallace and husband, Ralph of Louisiana; Lynn Foss and husband, Clifford of Texas, Wayne Foss and wife, Kim of Machias, and Alan Foss of Machias; Eddie’s son, Allen Reynolds; his brothers and sisters, Nadine, Peggy, William “Bill”, Ray and Lloyd; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Lynwood.
