BANGOR - Edwin P. “Ted” Wilson, 86, died December 10, 2013 at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born July 5, 1927 in Bangor the son of Ralph and Josephine (Putnam) Wilson.
Ted graduated from Bangor High School. Following graduation he served in the United States Navy in the Philippines during WWII. Returning home he married Jen and they lived in Bangor and Brewer. They shared 65 years of marriage.
Ted first worked at A.J. Cole and Sons, and later for his close friend, the late Judson “Bud” Grant Jr. setting up house trailers for Grant Trailer Sales from Fort Kent to Eastport for 42 years including Queen City Trailer Park and Birch Hill Estates.
For years Ted enjoyed candlepin and ten pin bowling and was always ready for a cribbage game. He was known for his even keel disposition and smile.
Ted and Jen enjoyed years of friendship with Bud and Bette Grant and their children Cheryl and Freddie Noyes, and Gale and Mike Longo were like family; along with many happy meals at Kev-Lan Corner.
Those left to carry on are his wife Jen; children Linda and Robert Colangelo and Roger, Retired US Army LTC and Darla “Di” Wilson; grandchildren Kim and Andy Pollock, Jared and friend Victoria, Kevin and Jody Colangelo; great grandchildren Taylor, Morgan, Zackery, Angelo and Tobias.
The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments 5 to 7pm Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor.
