Veazie - Elaine J. Veilleux (Marcoux) passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024, after experiencing a major stroke. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Lorraine Veilleux, and her husband, Alfred (Pete) Marcoux.
Elaine leaves behind her children, Christopher Frazier, and Jennifer Mathis (Jason Batey), and her beloved adopted son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Megan Quirion. She is also survived by her sisters, Shereen (Alfred) Deschaine, Linda Cramer, and Brenda Veilleux, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Addison Batey, Tyler Taylor, and Grayson Frazier, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A long-term resident of Winslow, Maine, Elaine was a graduate of Winslow High School. She had a deep appreciation for nature, spending many joyful hours gardening and birdwatching. Known for her love of cooking, she shared her talents generously with friends and family. Elaine's compassion extended to animals as well; she was a dedicated supporter of the ASPCA, a cause close to her heart.
A graveside service will be held at the VA Cemetery in Augusta, Maine, with the date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elaine's favorite charity, the ASPCA, or sent to her daughter, Jennifer Mathis, care of Brenda Veilleux, 305 Tower Ave, Syracuse, NY 13206.
