Elizabeth Lima, 73, of Bangor passed away peacefully at home on October 20th after a long and courageous battle against cancer. She was surrounded by her entire family. Elizabeth was born May 15, 1949 in Fall River, MA the daughter of Alfred P. and Agnes (Barboza) Brazil.
“Liz” and her husband Lou grew up and raised their family in Bristol, Rhode Island. In 1990 the entire family moved to Bangor to embark on a new chapter in their lives. After a long and successful career in business Liz and Lou found their second home in Florida, and recently resided in Palm Coast, where they enjoyed many visits and great times with the family. Liz and Lou celebrated 54 years of marriage this past March.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Lou, her daughter Annmarie and her husband Scott, her son Lou and his wife Jan, her brother Alfred Brazil, and her four grandsons; Lou, Josh, Scott and Zach, who were her entire world. “Grandma, you taught us all lessons in grace and dignity that we will not even realize until later but will always carry with us. Your legacy will always endure in our memories, in our stories, and in the way we all live our lives. You will forever be beside us and we love you.”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio Street, Bangor, followed by the Rite of Interment at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, following the interment.
