HAMPDEN- Elwyn “Pat” Davis, 70, died unexpectedly October 12, 2109 at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1949 in Rockland, Maine, the son of Earl Davis and Evelyn (Overlock) Faulkingham.
Pat graduated From Rockland District High School, Class of 1967. Following high school, he studied machine design at Central Maine Community College in Auburn and graduated in 1969. For the next decade, he worked as a purchasing agent for Scott Paper Company. In 1979 he went to work at FW Webb Company where he excelled for over 30 years. Pat retired as the General Manager of the FW Webb Bangor Branch in 2010.
Pat married his high school sweetheart, Jane Davis in 1968 and shortly after that settled in Westbrook, Maine. They eventually relocated to Brewer where they lived for 32 years. Pat was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Pat could often be found playing golf at many courses around Bangor and Myrtle Beach, SC. He enjoyed traveling with his family and spending time with his many friends. Pat and Jane had just recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.
In addition to his parents, Pat was predeceased by his sister, Isabelle Genthner; brother, Esmond Kaler; and his daughter, Kristin Davis-Miner. In addition to his wife, Jane (Johnson) Davis, he is survived by his son, Andrew Davis and wife, Stefanie of Westbrook; grandchildren, Jackson and Taylor Davis of Westbrook, and Cayden and Dawson Miner of Glenburn; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 am, Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St, Brewer, with the Rev. Dr. Rex H. Garrett, officiating. Those who wish to remember and honor Pat in a special way are encouraged to make gifts in his memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave. Bangor, ME 04401.
