Emily Katherine Sprague passed away suddenly on June 20th, 2022. Emily was born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 23rd,1995 to Richard and Marilyn Evans Sprague. She graduated from the Bolles School and Catholic University where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business.
Emily was exceptionally artistic and a gifted athlete, driven by competition. She had a passion for art and design stemming from esthetic visions at an early age. Emily has a wide array of hobbies ranging from cooking to jewelry making while her favorite activities were hiking and biking in Acadia National Park.
Her family feels that the quote below embodies her best:
‘If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.’
She is survived by her parents, Dr. Richard Sprague and Marilyn Sprague of Jacksonville, her brother William Ross Sprague and wife Callie Sprague of Jacksonville, her sister Kelly Sprague Bell and husband Andrew Bell of New Jersey, two nieces Madison and Kennedy Sprague along with nephew Broderick Bell.
A service to celebrate Emily’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday July 18, 2022 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
