Eric D. Hake

Eric D. Hake, 74, died unexpectedly January 8, 2020. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y. March 28, 1945 the son of William D. and Alice D. Hake.
After graduation from high school, Eric enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. Following his honorable discharge he joined the Maine State Police for several years. Eric, being the entrepreneur he was, bought Blue Hill Pyrotechnics. Building fireworks and providing shows throughout the state of Maine was his passion. He traveled to Russia to expand his business there.
Eric enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and his special canine companion Buddy.
He was predeceased by his sister, Isabelle.
Surviving are his wife, Natalya Hake of Glenburn; his daughter, Erica Hake and her fiancé, Leroy Ouellette; two granddaughters, Alexis Cote and her husband, Johnny and Isabella Bowden.
The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of his life and to share conversation and refreshments 1 pm to 3 pm Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer.
Eric’s family would like to thank the staff at the Maine Veteran’s Home for their loving care of him.
It was Eric’s wish that anyone who wanted to remember him in a special way may contribute to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor.
