Estelle Clement

Estelle M. Clement, 86, passed away peacefully from a long illness on February 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family in her home. She was born February 4, 1935, in Rockland, Maine, the daughter of Dorothy and Arthur Richardson.

Estelle graduated from Brewer High School and worked in the food service for more than 50 years. She was well known waitressing at Geaghan's Roundhouse of 35 years where she retired. Estelle enjoyed reading, gardening, antiquing, the ocean, eating lobster and loved animals, especially her granddog, Kaiser. She enjoyed shopping trips with her three daughters and granddaughter. Estelle would also be seen on adventures with her best friend, Joyce. She was known for her sense of humor, love for her family, bright smile, and her blunt remarks.

She is survived by her daughters, Beth and Jeff Welch, Kim Locke, BJ and Allen Porter; and Bob's daughter, Lynne Lovely and Mike; her grandchildren, Miranda and fiancee, Larry, Brandon, Amy, and Adam and girlfriend, Jacki; great-grandchildren, Gage, Dallas, Paisley, Drew, and Nori; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her devoted companion, Bob Higgins; her siblings, Ernest Richardson, Dorothy Andrews, Beulah Patterson, John Richardson, Ronald Richardson, Ralph Richardson, and Richard Richardson; and her son in-law, Emmett Locke.

The family wishes to thank Beacon Hospice for their wonderful services. A deep heartfelt hug is extended to Amanda, for being much more than a caregiver; she is a friend who gave unsurpassed support to not only Estelle, but also to her family.

A memorial reception will be held on February 12, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, Maine 04401. The family will be having a private visitation hour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Masks will be required. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Bangor Humane Society.
