Esther M. Bustin, 79, beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, passed peacefully in the early morning hours of February 8, 2014. Esther was born July 29, 1934 in Muncie, Ind. Daughter to Northa and Earl Stockton of Indianapolis, Ind.
Esther was blessed with her “Hoosier” kind, down to earth, warm and indomitable spirit. She was elegant, with an effervescent spirit and contagious personality. Her foundation was “Indiana Strong”, and her faith and deep convictions encompassed her everyday living. Esther’s hopes and dreams gave her great pride in her home, family and faith in God and the Church. Esther loved nature, especially the ocean, music and writing.
Esther worked as a realtor until her retirement, when she became a greeter of Plymouth Carver High School. For more than 30 years, she and her late husband, Robert, lived in an old sea captain’s mansion overlooking Plymouth Beach, a place she always considered home.
In addition to her husband and parents, Esther was predeceased by her son, J. Brad Bustin. She is survived by her children, Susan Courson, Dillon Bustin, Northa Paulding, Robert Bustin, Earlene Ward, and DeLynn Raymond; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Jessie Mae Gideon and Phyllis Jean Betty; sister-in-law, Mary Warner, and special daughters-in-law, Karen Bustin and Martha Bustin; and special sons-in-law, Todd Raymond and Jim Courson. She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert and Joe.
