CARMEL. Eugene G. Burgess, 87, died October 12, 2017 at a Bangor Hospital. He was born December 16, 1929 in Bangor, son of William G.A. and Alice M. (Ashford) Burgess.
Eugene proudly served in the US Army from 1952 until 1954. He was employed with the US Government as an Electrician for many years, retiring as a supervisor. Eugene was a member of the American Legion Post 0178 of Waterville and a member of the NRA.
Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Donna H. Burgess; 2 sons, Daniel L. Burgess and his wife, Maria and Dale E. Burgess and his life partner, Melinda Perrier; five grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah, Dereck, Brandon and Maranda; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Earle Burgess; many nieces and nephews. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
