Evelyn Bryant

February 17, 1927 — June 10, 2019

NEWBURGH - Evelyn Claire Bryant, 92, passed away June 10, 2019, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born February 17, 1927, in Biddeford, the daughter of John C. and Doris (Chamberlain) Woodrow.
Evelyn was very artistic and enjoyed using her hands. She enjoyed working with ceramics and quilting, making things that she could give away that people would enjoy. For many years Evelyn enjoyed raising her own vegetables and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Evelyn also enjoyed farming and in her earlier days she stayed at home and worked on the families dairy farm. Later in life she retired after working many years in the Human Resources Department of the GTE/Sylvania plant in Bangor. More than anything her family was her life and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by sons, Randy Bryant and wife Terry of Troy, George C. Allen III and wife Pauline of Dedham; grandchildren, George Allen IV and wife Cathy, Travis Bryant, Joseph Bryant, Justin Doble and Paige Doble; and great-grandchildren, George Allen V and Desiree Longtin; a special sister, Phyllis Malone; and many friends. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Benoni in 2008, a son Rodney, and her dear Boston Terrier companion, Sadie.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 12, 2019 at Knowlton Cemetery, Newburgh. Gifts in her memory may be made to Beacon Hospice, 289 State Street, Bangor, ME 04401.
