BANGOR – Evelyn Lucille (Lincoln) Robbins, 81, passed away surrounded by family on December 25, 2023. Many considered Evie an angel here on Earth, and she became an angel in Heaven on Christmas Day. Evie was born on September 29, 1942, to Leslie Parker Lincoln and Lula (Hichborn) Lincoln.
Evie graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1960. She then met the love of her life, Ralph Robbins and they were married in 1962. Evie had many occupations throughout her life, including factory work, clerical and retail positions, several years as a computer programmer at General Electric, and the Maine State Police Academy.
Evie loved growing up in her big loving family. She was the tenth child of thirteen. This is where the values of family and love and goodness were instilled in her, and throughout her life she continued to pass on these values to her children and grandchildren. Evie loved to read, go shopping, put puzzles together and she was a whiz at crossword puzzles. Most who knew Evie knew she was a passionate Elvis fan, listening and dancing to his music often and collecting lots of Elvis memorabilia. She also loved traveling with Ralph and her family and friends and was able to see and enjoy many places all over the world.
Evie was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ralph; brothers, Charles, Leslie Jr., and Gerald; sisters, Blanche, Irma, Lois, Isabelle, Alice, and Carolyn. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Rideout and her husband, Eddie, Kelly Giles and her husband, Mike, and Donna Demmons and her husband, Mike; grandsons, Benjamin Rideout and his wife, Bethanie, Doug Rideout, Neil Giles and his wife, Jenna, and Bailey Giles; great-grandchildren, Lane Giles and Adeline Giles; sisters, Priscilla McPheters and Doris Whitaker; brother, David Lincoln and his wife, Wanda; sisters-in-law, Faith Lincoln and Susan Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
