BANGOR – Everett E. Willey, 80, passed away Thursday July 18, 2013 at a Bangor long term health-care facility. He was born March 14, 1933 in Bangor, the son of Henry Eugene Willey and Ruth (Robertson) Willey Sutton. Everett was an amazing person who astounded many with his ability to make friends with anybody and his strong willed nature. As a young boy he lost a leg in an accident and was forced to wear a prosthetic for the remainder of his life. This in no way darkened his spirits and he surged through life with no thought of what he lost but only what lay ahead of him. He loved fishing, riding on any old road, hunting and playing cards. Everett worked for many years at Moore Business Forms in Dover, New Hampshire, was a member of the 24 Hour Club, and the Elks Club. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Joyce N. (Murray) Willey, three sisters, Margaret Daigle, Anna Mishio, and Rita Weitzel. He is survived by two children, Kellie Willey of Bangor, Dan Willey and his wife Barbara of Anchorage, Alaska, a brother Richard Willey and his wife Mary of Sun City, Arizona, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew Dickie Mishio and his wife Penny of Hudson. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Kindred Westgate Manor, especially to Randy Drake. A celebration of life will be held 1 PM Saturday August 10, 2013 at 298 Hudson Hill Road, Hudson. Gifts in Everett’s memory may be made to Westgate Manor 750 Union St. Attn: Sandy Inman.
