Frances A. Treadwell, 87, died September 2, 2021 at a Bangor Hospital. She was born on January 30, 1934, in Orono, the daughter of Leo and Corinne Comeau.
Frances graduated from Orono High School, Class of 1952. She married Lyndon Treadwell, Jr. in 1955 and lived her entire life in Orono. Frances enjoyed a long career in the insurance claims business in Bangor.
She is survived by her brother, Herbert Comeau and his wife, Julia, of South Addison; sisters-in-law, Judy Rand Comeau of Scarborough, and Carole Treadwell of Orono; many dear nieces and nephews, especially Scott and Jo Ann Hall of Orono and their children Ethan and Chelsea; Jeanne Comeau and Joan Barberich of Northampton, MA and their son Miller; Janet and Jack Kaplan of Emden and their children Randi and Paul; James Comeau of Orono, and his son Thomas; and Dr. Leonard Comeau of West Hartford, CT.
She also leaves her good friends, Martha and Larry McSorley of Holden.
She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years in 2007 and their infant son, Mark in 1960. Also, her brother, Leonard Comeau and brothers-in-law, Arthur Treadwell and James Treadwell; sisters-in-law, Verda LeClair, Elaine Wade, and Virginia Treadwell.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery, Bennoch Road, Orono.
