Frances Lord

BREWER – Frances Marie (Lord) Lord, 94, passed away June 19, 2022 at a Bangor hospital, with family by her side. She was born April 16, 1928, in Brewer, the eldest daughter of the late Eugene Lord and Hattie (Day) Lord.

Frances graduated from Brewer High School Class of 1945, and in 1946 married the love of her life, Robert N. Lord, also of Brewer. (They were married for 55 years until his passing in 2000, but if you asked her how long they were married, she would say 76 years--a truly beautiful love story.) While her children were young, she worked for the Brewer School Lunch Program at State Street School, Junior High, and High School. Later in life, she worked for Orthopaedics Associates in Bangor for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Brewer where she was involved in many ministries including the choir and music program, a Sunday School teacher and was involved in many ladies groups and Bible study groups. These ministries continued in her home as well.

Frances is survived by her children, Linda Lord, of Brewer and Cheryl Lord, of Bethel; a very special sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie (Lord) and Victor Wilson, of Brewer; and a number of very special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband. She was also predeceased by a sister, Joanne (Lord) White; and a lifelong best friend/sister-in-law, Carol (Lord) White. The family would like to thank the staff of NLH-EMMC Cardiac Telemetry Unit, Hospice, and Palliative Care teams for the excellent care given to Frannie during the last three and a half weeks.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday June 24, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church, 61 State St, Brewer. Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Friday. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, immediately following services. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Calvary Baptist Fellowship Hall following the interment.
