Francis E. Larkin Jr., 89, passed away at EMMC surrounded by his loving family.
Francis was born in St. Stephen, N.B. to Francis Larkin Sr. and Agnes (Ellsmore).
He graduated from Hampden Academy and also attended Husson College for Business Administration.
Francis was a milkman for Footman’s Dairy for 28 years and loved telling stories of his route that took him through Winterport to Belfast, one of his favorite cities.
Later in life he developed a passion for woodworking and model railroading, which he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his special friend, Matthew.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Catherine (Brooks), sons Kevin, Francis III (Sharyn), Joseph (Marcia), daughters Karyn (Mark), Heidi (Frank), a sister Suzanne (Paul), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Mz. P.
Francis was predeceased by his parents, grandson Frankie IV, and son-in-law, Bill.
The family would like to thank Bangor’s First Responders and the Emergency Staff at EMMC for their care of our Pappy.
Though he was a man of few words, his family never doubted his love for them, and he from them. We will miss you and your dry wit. You will always be the missing piece to our puzzle.
A celebration of Life will be held at Season’s Restaurant, Main Street in Bangor on July 21st from 12:00-4:00.
